Record attendance for the final leg of the V Memorial Schirinzi A. Mario, who was held on Saturday, June 12th green of G & CC "The Pavoniere in Prato. Schirinzi A. Mario - This year has been more than 250 golfers took to the green to play the game against multiple myeloma. E sul «binomio vincente» tra sport e solidarietà si è soffermato anche Giancarlo Antognoni. «Da anni partecipo al Memorial per solidarietà, amicizia e passione - ha detto l’ex campione del mondo di calcio – questi connubi sono estremamente importanti e positivi e Prato ha saputo dimostrare tanta generosità». Poi da Antognoni è arrivato l’augurio: «Spero che possiamo ritrovarci qui il prossimo anno, ancora più numerosi». Il presidente della Federgolf Toscana, Andrea Scapuzzi, ha sottolineato che «se quest’anno abbiamo concesso il patrocinio, speriamo il prossimo anno di poter fare di più. Queste sono iniziative faticose da portare avanti, ma estremamente importanti».
Da parte del presidente de “Le Pavoniere”, Giovanni Collini, un sincero ringraziamento a Vittorio Schirinzi: «Questa è una gara che ci fa onore, come Club sempre di più vogliamo essere vicini a queste iniziative», mentre il presidente del Coni provinciale Massimo Taiti si è soffermato sul «senso dei pratesi per la solidarietà, oltre che per lo sport, come è stato dimostrato in questa occasione che sta diventando una manifestazione importante».
A concludere la giornata si è svolta una cena di Solidarity also open to those who have not taken part in sports day but they still wanted to support the work of the Association.
